Course Description
DVSVTD 210 | Interprofessional Communication Total: 8 Hours | E- Lecture: 4 Hours | E-Lab: 4 Hours | On Site Lab: 0 Hours This course enhances communication and collaboration skills essential for effective healthcare delivery. Students will learn to obtain comprehensive patient histories, discuss care plans, and convey diagnostic information to multidisciplinary teams while addressing physical, emotional, and social components of patient care. Emphasizing clear and compassionate communication, the course includes the preparation and presentation of clinical reports, and the responsible use of AI tools to support documentation, data analysis, and workflow optimization while maintaining ethical standards. Students will also build teamwork skills, practice empathetic conflict resolution, and contribute to patient care in a variety of clinical settings, supporting coordinated, patient-centered care.
