Course Description

DMSVTD 650 | Diagnostic Criteria & Reporting Total: 40 Hours | E-Lecture: 12 Hours | E-Lab: 12 Hours | On Site Lab: 16 Hours This course introduces students to the essential clinical criteria required for accurate ultrasound diagnostics and comprehensive clinical reporting. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking skills, correlating sonographic findings with laboratory values, and formulating structured clinical reports. Students will explore key diagnostic markers, learning to assess pathology using the Nussbaumer Pathology Framework with a focus on conditions such as plaque formation, systemic imbalance, and calcium ion activity. Through a combination of lecture, case study analysis, and hands-on clinical practice, students will gain practical experience in integrating ultrasound findings with clinical data to enhance diagnostic accuracy. The course also emphasizes clear and concise clinical reporting, ensuring students are prepared to effectively communicate their findings and recommendations to physicians and healthcare providers.
