DMSVTD 580 | Introduction to Adult & Pediatric Echocardiography Total: 20 Hours | E-Lecture: 6 Hours | E-Lab: 6 Hours | On Site Lab: 8 Hours This course introduces students to the dynamic field of echocardiography, providing them with the skills to assess cardiac anatomy, function, and pathology through ultrasound imaging. With a focus on the heart’s role in overall well-being, students will learn techniques for evaluating cardiac chambers, valves, and myocardial performance, as well as identifying congenital and acquired heart conditions. The curriculum highlights the importance of early detection, circulatory health, and the impact of lifestyle and systemic factors on heart function.
