EXT 100 | Externship I: Simulated Externship Scenarios Total: 160 Clinical Hours on site at ADOM During this simulated externship, students engage in the practical application of their knowledge within a simulated clinical environment under the guidance of experienced practitioners. The course encompasses a wide array of focuses including patient care, image acquisition, interpretation, and effective communication strategies. Topics covered include ultrasound applications in pediatric and neonatal care, geriatric sonography, emergency and trauma settings, surgical sonography, critical care sonography, telemedicine applications, and the principles and clinical applications of focused ultrasound (HIFU). Through hands-on experience and simulated scenarios, students develop essential skills and insights, preparing them for the dynamic landscape of modern healthcare.
