EXT 200 | Externship II: Introduction to Interventional Ultrasound and Clinical Procedures Total: 160 Clinical Hours on site at ADOM This course focuses on essential clinical procedures for diagnostic ultrasound and vascular technology, ensuring comprehensive hands-on training in ultrasound-guided interventional techniques. Students will develop the necessary skills to safely and effectively perform critical procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, drainage procedures, venipuncture, and IV infusions. Practical training includes ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration, core needle biopsies, vacuum-assisted biopsies, and fluid extractions from cysts or joints, as well as more advanced procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, joint aspirations, and pericardiocentesis.
