Course Description

PHY 150 | Conceptual Physics Total: 16 Hours | E-Lecture: 12 Hours | E-Lab: 4 Hours | On Site Lab: 0 Hours This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of physics with an emphasis on conceptual understanding. Key topics include mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics, and modern physics, with a focus on real-world applications. Students will explore the principles of motion, forces, gravity, temperature, and heat, gaining insight into how these concepts influence everyday phenomena and clinical practices. The course also covers acoustic physics, including sound production, propagation, and interactions with matter. Emphasis is placed on developing intuitive reasoning skills to understand physical laws rather than relying heavily on complex mathematical formulas. Through practical examples and engaging activities, students will build a strong foundation in physics concepts relevant to healthcare and diagnostic imaging.
