Course Description
DMSVTD 250 | Practical Ultrasound Techniques Total: 8 Hours | E-Lecture: 0 Hours | E-lab: 0 Hours | On Site Lab: 8 Hours This course introduces fundamental ultrasound scanning techniques used in general and vascular imaging. Students learn equipment operation, image acquisition, and basic Doppler applications, including grayscale, color flow, and spectral Doppler. Emphasis is placed on proper probe positioning, image optimization, and efficient workflow. Through supervised lab practice, students develop foundational scanning skills and begin performing structured examinations while adhering to established protocols. The course prepares students to support diagnostic imaging procedures within the scope of the sonographer’s role.
