Credentialing Pathways
Your pathway is determined primarily by your educational background and the eligibility requirements of the credentialing organization.
High School Diploma or GED
Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)

Graduates of a non-programmatically accredited ultrasound program.​
​

At least one year of vascular ultrasound training.​
​

Minimum of 800 clinical hours.​
​

Completion of the required documentation.​
​
Bachelor's Degree or Higher
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Bachelor's degree in any major.

At least 12 months of full time clinical ultrasound or vascular experience.
​

Minimum of 1680 hours through qualifying employment or completion of a formal full-time ultrasound or vascular program.
